Exhibition statement.
"The city of Havana, once the good - time centre of the world, is now crumbling and peeling - but not bleeding! The spirit of the people lives on - defiant, passionate, vibrant.
The outer shell cracks, but it’s core is still luscious. The onus is on the looker, to go beyond the decay, the stains, the rips and see how these pay tribute to a life lived fully - to people who with gusto celebrate life, whatever their surroundings.
Like a woman re-awakened to her beauty and power, these photographs pay homage to life's longing for love and fulfillment."
I work at pic photographic imaging college, where I printed these type C prints. The images in this exhibition are either 30 inches or 20 inches square.
